David Spriggs was born in Manchester, England and currently resides in Montreal where he has just completed his MFA in Sculpture at Concordia University. His sculptures explore deconstruction and ordering of forms in space. Each piece involves layering and mapping a multitude of two dimensional drawings to create a three dimensional form. Spriggs was given the Arts Achievement Award at the annual Immigrants of Distinction Awards in Calgary in 1998 and has since then exhibited in New York, Toronto, London, Calgary, and Vancouver.
